Electro Re-Birth

Last year it seemed like music was having its soul sapped by boring and winy emo. Now there's a whole lot more electro coming out, and it seems somewhat appropriate that the new school band M83 is becoming big on Mute Records, the same record label that Depeche Mode has been on for the past two decades.

If M83 and DM are too gloomy and depressing for you, there's always the absurdly upbeat disco-rock of Passion Pit to keep you upbeat:

M83 - We Own The Sky

Depeche Mode's Sounds Of The Universe

Depeche Mode is one of my favorite bands of all time and even though they're old as dirt they have an amazing new single for their upcoming album, Sounds of the Universe, which is scheduled to be released on April 21.

Here is the video for their single "Wrong". I actually had to watch the video twice to really understand what was going on. Hopefully you aren't as dumb as I am, and you watch the video a second time to appreciate the synth and bass driven melody of the song. Enjoy.
